Liverpool cruise past Arsenal as Diego Jota strikes in 3-1 win

Diego Jota-Liverpool-Arsenal Match-Premier League

Liverpool picked up a 3-1 win over Arsenal in the Premier League earlier today at Anfield.

Alexandre Lacazette gave the away side an early lead after a mistake from Andrew Robertson but Liverpool equalised almost immediately through Sadio Mane.

The Senegalese scored a tap in after Salah’s shot was parried into his path by Bernd Leno.

Andrew Robertson made up for his error with a well taken goal to give Liverpool the lead. The Scottish defender chipped past Leno after receiving a fantastic cross from Alexander-Arnold.

Arsenal had a couple of chances to get back into the game in the second half but Alisson produced a couple of big saves to deny the Londoners.

Summer signing Diogo Jota scored the third goal of the game for Liverpool to seal all three points for Jurgen Klopp’s side.

The Reds have now won all three Premier League games so far and they will be hoping to build on this start and put together a winning run now.

Liverpool have beaten the likes of Leeds United, Chelsea and Arsenal so far and Jurgen Klopp’s men will be full of confidence heading into their upcoming games.

Arteta will be disappointed with the result but his team was thoroughly outplayed at Anfield and they deserved to lose in the end.
