Liverpool leading Asensio race

Liverpool are reportedly keen on signing the Real Madrid attacking midfielder Marco Asensio.

According to reports, the Premier League side are preparing a €35 million offer to sign the player during the January transfer window.

Apparently, the Spaniard was on the radar of Arsenal as well but Liverpool are currently leading the race to sign Asensio.

The report further states but Jurgen Klopp has already given his approval for the transfer.

Real Madrid and Liverpool have held several conversations regarding Asensio and therefore a transfer during the January window could be on the cards.

Reds keen on Soler

Liverpool have been linked with a move for the Valencia midfielder Carlos Soler.

According to reports, Jurgen Klopp wants to bring in a midfielder who can replace Gini Wijnaldum and the La Liga star has caught his attention.

Soler has a contract with Valencia until the summer of 2023 and there haven’t been any talks regarding a contract renewal.

Apparently, the Liverpool manager is interested in the player because of his versatility and it will be interesting to see if the Reds can agree on a fee with the Spanish club for his services.

Liverpool failed to bring in midfield reinforcements during the summer transfer window and it is no secret that they will have to add more quality and depth to the side.

January windows can often be tricky to sign players because clubs are unwilling to lose key players halfway through the season. It remains to be seen whether the Reds can pull off a couple of signings this winter.
