Manchester United are looking to improve their attacking options this summer, and they are closing in on the capture of Ajax winger Antony.

According to the latest reports, the Manchester United officials are due in Amsterdam later today to finalise a deal for the Brazilian winger.

The 22-year-old has been a key player for Ajax over the past 12 months, and he has scored 12 goals and picked up 10 assists across all competitions.

Antony has worked with the newly appointed Manchester United manager Erik Ten Hag, and they share a great working relationship.

It seems that the Dutch manager is keen on a reunion with the Brazilian at Old Trafford. It will be interesting to see whether the 22-year-old can quickly adapt to Premier League football and make an immediate impact.

It is no secret that the Red Devils will have to improve their attacking options to get back into the top four, and the Brazilian could prove to be a quality long-term addition.

The Ajax winger will add pace and creativity on the right-hand side of Manchester United’s attack, and he will chip in with valuable goals as well.

It will be interesting to see how the arrival of Antony affects Jadon Sancho, who played on the right-hand side of the attack last season.

The England international could switch to the left flank with Cristiano Ronaldo leading the line next season.

That would certainly be a potent attacking trio on paper, and it will be interesting to see whether Manchester United can get the transfer across the line in the coming days.

Apparently, the Premier League giants will be paying a fee of around £40m for the Brazilian winger.

The 22-year-old is immensely talented, and he has the potential to develop into a world-class footballer. There is no doubt that he has the ability to justify the £40m transfer outlay in the long run.

Antony has already proven himself in Dutch football, and he will be desperate to showcase his potential on a bigger platform in the Premier League now.
