Manchester United are interested in signing the Inter Milan defender Milan Skriniar this summer.
According to reports, Real Madrid are keen on the centre back as well.
The Italian giants value the player at £52.5m and it will be interesting to see if the Red Devils are willing to pay that kind of money for the defender.
Skriniar is top quality defender and he would improve Manchester United a lot.
Solskjaer needs a quality partner for Maguire and Skriniar could be that player. He would add depth and quality to the back four.
The Old Trafford outfit will have to improve a lot in order to challenge the likes of Liverpool and Manchester City for the Premier League title next season. Players like Skriniar could make a big difference for them.
The Inter Milan ace has the talent to develop into a world class centre back and signing him now would be ideal for United.
They can have him for his peak years and it would cost them a reasonable amount as well. In a couple of seasons Skriniar could be worth a lot more if he develops as expected.
The report adds that Manchester United and Real Madrid are in the driving seat right now but the Red Devils’ hopes of signing the player could depend on where they finish in the table this season.
If they fail to secure Champions League football, it will be difficult to lure players of Skriniar’s quality.
