Manchester United and Bayern Munich have to sort out the contract situations of Paul Pogba and Leon Goretzka by next few days.

The German midfielder is understood to be on the radar of the Red Devils.

Manchester United have enjoyed a brilliant summer window so far, signing Jadon Sancho and Raphael Varane.

However, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer still wants to bring a top-quality midfielder before the transfer window closes. They have been linked with the likes of Eduardo Camavinga and Saul Niguez.

Bayern Munich midfielder Leon Goretzka is another potential target, and according to Journalist Tobi Altschaffl, the Red Devils are still interested in signing the German midfielder.

Goretzka’s future has been subject to speculation in recent weeks as he has just one year left in his current deal.

Talks over his contract extension are said to be progressing well; however, Altschaffl states that Bayern are currently focused on the new deal for Joshua Kimmich.

Bayern manager Julian Nagelsmann has recently commented that he remains optimistic over Gortezka’s new deal.

However, Bayern’s supposed interest in Marcel Sabitzer has raised questions over Goretzka’s future at Allianz Arena. It could be due to the reason that Sabitzer could quickly become a starter under Nagelsmann since they had previously worked together at Leipzig.

United are currently working on sorting out Paul Pogba’s situation as the Frenchman has been heavily linked with a move away from Old Trafford.

The World Cup winner is said to be against the idea of a contract extension, with PSG looking keen on his signing.

It has been reported that Lionel Messi’s speculated arrival at the French capital could end Les Parisiens’ pursuit of Pogba.
