Anthony Martial will be allowed to leave

Manchester United striker Anthony Martial could be on his way out of the club during the January transfer window.

According to Eurosport, the Premier League club have given their approval to the player’s representatives to look for a new club.

Martial has struggled to hold down a regular starting berth under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and the 25-year-old was linked with a move to Atletico Madrid earlier in the summer.

The report from Eurosport adds that the Frenchman could be a target for Barcelona next year and Manchester United are prepared to cash in on him for the right price.

The 25-year-old needs to play regularly at this stage of his career and he needs to move away from Old Trafford if the Premier League giants cannot provide him with the necessary first-team assurances.

Dean Henderson eyeing loan exit

In other news, Dean Henderson is pushing for a loan move when the January transfer window opens.

According to the Sun, The player was hoping to establish himself as the first-choice goalkeeper at Manchester United this season but the resurgence of David De Gea has pushed him down the pecking order.

Furthermore, the 24-year-old goalkeeper has been suffering from long COVID and that has affected his chances of pushing for the starting berth.

Henderson had impressive loan spells with Sheffield United in the past and it will be interesting to see where the Englishman ends up later this season.
