The Nerazzurri came from behind to win 3-1 against Fiorentina away from their home.

Inter Milan mounted a second-half comeback in the 3-1 away win against Fiorentina in Serie A last night.

The defending champions were coming off an emphatic victory against Bologna. However, Fiorentina, who are equally impressive in Serie A this season, gave a run for their money in the first half.

La Viola showed their intentions from the beginning as they caused all sorts of problems to Inter’s defence.

They had their breakthrough soon after Sottil slotted the ball into the net, benefitting from Argentine winger Nicolas Gonzalez’s assist.

However, Simone Inzaghi’s side turned the tables around in the second half, scoring three goals to stun the home side.

Matteo Darmian scored the equaliser before Edin Dzeko put Inter ahead inside 10 minutes after the break. Ivan Perisic scored the winning goal to help Inter pick up crucial three points and also return to the top of the table.

Dzeko and Inter step up after Lukaku departure

Edin Dzeko is turning out to be a top recruitment for Inter Milan due to his instant impact on the club in Serie A.

After Romelu Lukaku left San Siro in the summer transfer window, questions were raised on who could fill his shoes this season.

Inter went with a cheaper alternative in Dzeko, who is also in the twilight of his career.

However, the 35-year-old is defying critics with his powerful performances for the Nerazzurri. Other players have also stepped up to fill the void in the attack left by big Belgian.

The former Roma man has scored 4 goals and provided an assist in 5 Serie A appearances this season, including a brace against Bologna at the weekend.

Forming a great partnership with Lautaro Martinez in the attack, Dzeko also acts as a great target man like Lukaku for Inter.

Dzeko will look to continue his impressive goal-scoring run when the Nerazzurri face Atalanta in their next game in Serie A.
