Mauricio Pochettino is one of the top candidates to replace Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

PSG boss Mauricio Pochettino is apparently interested in taking over at Manchester United.

According to Daily Mail, the Argentine boss is ready to quit Paris Saint-Germain in favour of a move to Man Utd, who are currently on the lookout for a long-term manager after sacking Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

Michael Carrick has been appointed the interim manager but the Red Devils are eyeing for high-profile manager next summer.

Pochettino and Zinedine Zidane have emerged as top targets for the manager job at Old Trafford, but the latter appears to be not interested.

Zidane has been heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford in recent weeks but the French legend is reportedly preferring a move to PSG.

Another report from the Daily Mail states that Les Parisiens are keeping tabs on Zidane’s situation and could look to appoint him if Pochettino leaves Parc des Princes.

With his family still residing in London, Pochettino is ready to make a return to the Premier League.

The Argentine gaffer took charge at Parc des Princes last year but failed to defend the Ligue 1 title last season, losing it to LOSC Lille.

The former Tottenham boss has recently revealed that it is hard to manage superstars like Neymar, Kylian Mbappe and Lionel Messi.

Pochettino spent around five years at Tottenham without winning any major trophies. However, the Argentine was lauded for grooming a lot of young talents and helping Spurs become a top-four club in the Premier League.

Man United are in a transitional state and Pochettino looks like the ideal man to help them return to their best.

However, with his contract running until 2023, Man Utd would have to pay a big compensation to lure him to Old Trafford.
