PSG set to sack Mauricio Pochettino, Manchester United confident of appointing him

Manchester United are looking to appoint Mauricio Pochettino as their new manager at the end of this season as per Mirror.

Interim manager Ralf Rangnick is set to move onto an administrative role in the summer, and Pochettino will replace him at the Old Trafford hot-seat.

The Argentine is done a mixed job at Paris Saint-Germain so far, and reports from the Sun claim that he will be sacked in the summer.

PSG recently crashed out of the French Cup after a defeat to Nice, and the club hierarchy are not happy with the Argentine’s management so far.

Pochettino did an excellent job at Tottenham Hotspur during his previous spell in the Premier League. It will be interesting to see if he can help Manchester United challenge for the Premier League title.

The Argentine is a top-class manager, and he has proven that by guiding Tottenham to the Champions League final in the past.

With the resources at Manchester United, Pochettino could help rebuild the club next season.

Manchester United have struggled to challenge for the major trophies since the departure of Sir Alex Ferguson, and they have had several failed managerial appointments since then.

It will be interesting to see if Pochettino can win trophies at Old Trafford now.

Despite being a highly rated manager, Pochettino is yet to win trophies consistently in his managerial career. He will be expected to make an immediate impact at the Premier League club.

His previous jobs at Southampton and Tottenham carried far less expectations, and it will be interesting to see how he handles the pressure at Old Trafford.
