Chelsea signed Romelu Lukaku from Inter Milan for a club-record fee at the start of the season. Still, the Belgian international is unhappy with the situation at the London club.

Lukaku has publicly admitted that he did not want to leave Inter Milan, and he hopes to return to the Italian club soon.

The Blues have been linked with a move for the Argentine striker Lautaro Martinez. Still, Lukaku has recently claimed that the Argentine should stay at Inter Milan, and he wants to reunite with Martinez at the Italian club instead.

Lukaku’s statements have infuriated the Chelsea fanbase, and manager Thomas Tuchel is unhappy with his remarks as well.

Recently the German decided to drop Lukaku for the game against Liverpool. It will be interesting to see whether the Belgian is given the opportunity to rebuild his reputation in the coming weeks.

Tuchel has revealed publicly that the only way for Lukaku to redeem himself is to keep training and performing on the pitch and stop giving interviews.

Meanwhile, a report from Gazzetta dello Sport claims that the 28-year-old striker is already eyeing a move away from Chelsea, and he could look to reunite with his former manager Antonio Conte at Tottenham Hotspur.

The Italian helped get the best out of Lukaku during their time together at Inter Milan, and the Italian side managed to win the league title.

Tottenham Hotspur could definitely use another top-class striker, and Lukaku would be a sensational addition for them if he manages to stay motivated.

Chelsea paid a considerable amount of money for the Belgian earlier in the summer, and they are likely to demand a premium for his services.

It will be interesting to see whether Tottenham and Daniel Levy are willing to break the bank to secure the 28-year-old’s services in the summer.
