Premier League side Chelsea were recently acquired by a consortium led by Todd Boehly for £4.25bn.

The Blues are now set to begin a new journey under their new ownership and it seems that some of their key players might be considering their futures at Stamford Bridge.

According to the latest reportsRomelu Lukaku is set to hold talks with the club’s owners regarding his future.

The 29-year-old signed for Chelsea for a club-record fee last summer but he has had a disappointing season with the Blues.

Furthermore, the striker fell out with manager Thomas Tuchel after publicly admitting his desire to return to Inter Milan.

Lukaku has not been a regular starter for Chelsea this past season and it will be interesting to see if the Blues are willing to cash in on him this summer.

The 29-year-old is clearly not at his best and he seems distracted since his move to Stamford Bridge.

It would be wise of the Blues to cash in on him before his resale value plummets.

The Belgian has been heavily linked with a return to Italy this summer and it will be interesting to see whether the likes of Inter Milan or AC Milan decide to make a move for him.

There is no doubt that the Belgian international can be a world-class striker on his day but his return to Premier League simply has not worked out.

Furthermore, the striker has failed to adapt to Thomas Tuchel’s style of play.

There is no doubt that Chelsea will have to invest in a top-class goal scorer this summer and it’ll be interesting to see if they decide to get rid of their fringe players and bring in someone who can make an immediate impact at Stamford Bridge next season.
