Cristiano Ronaldo has revealed he loves the battle for three points in the Premier League after Manchester United‘s hard-fought win against West Ham on Sunday, according to DailyMail. The Red Devils beat West Ham 2-1 on Sunday, and Ronaldo was also on the scoresheet.

The Old Trafford side had to fight back from a goal down after Said Benrahma’s deflected strike had put the Hammers in front. Ronaldo equalised for United from close range before a late strike from former West Ham loanee Jesse Lingard put United ahead.

West Ham had the opportunity to level the scores late in the game through a Mark Noble penalty, but De Gea, who had not saved a penalty for United in five years, saved the penalty to deny West Ham a point in the game.

After the game, Ronaldo took to Instagram to express his feelings about the game and the competitive nature of the Premier League.

Speaking to his 345million followers on the social media app, Ronaldo said:

‘Every game in the Premier League is always a fantastic fight for the three points.

‘Today, we got to see a glimpse of all the obstacles that we will find on our way, but we have to keep our mindset on our goals.

‘Together! Strong! Focused! Let’s go, Devils!’ followed by a muscle emoji.

The Portuguese forward has been immense for Manchester United since his return to Old Trafford on transfer deadline day in August. He has scored four goals in three matches in all competitions for the club.
