Atalanta

Atalanta will look to continue their ascent towards the top of the Serie A table when they welcome Venezia to the Gewiss Stadium this Tuesday.

The hosts beat Juventus 1-0 in their last game, thanks to a first-half strike from Duvan Zapata. The win was their first victory against Juventus in Turin since 1989. The result also extended their unbeaten run to a total of eight games in all competitions.

They will now hope to continue that unbeaten run in this game but have a patchy form at home this season. They have won just twice from their opening seven Serie A fixtures at the Gewiss Stadium and have conceded eleven times.

However, Gian Piero Gasperini’s side beat Spezia 5-2 in their last league outing at home. That win would have given them confidence after they drew three on the bounce.

Possible Atalanta starting line-ups

Juan Musso; Rafael Toloi, Merih Demiral, Jose Palomino; Davide Zappacosta, Martin de Roon, Remo Freuler, Joakim Maehle; Mario Pasalic; Josip Ilicic, Duvan Zapata.

Injured: Matteo Lovato

Doubtful: Hans Hateboer, Robin Gosens

Suspended: None

Venezia

Venezia will travel to Bergamo this Tuesday looking to get back to winning ways following a 2-0 loss to Inter Milan in their last game.

Paolo Zanetti side, who are playing in the top flight for the first time in two decades, enters this tie sitting in 16th place, five points away from the relegation zone.

The Venice-based side have fared better than most people expected them to perform this season. But head coach Zanetti will be concerned about a lack of input from his forwards, though, given that Venezia have averaged under a goal per game this term.

Possible Venezia starting line-ups

Sergio Romero, Pasquale Mazzocchi, Mattia Caldara, Pietro Ceccaroni, Ridgeciano Haps, Gianluca Busio, Antonio Junior Vacca, Ethan Ampadu, Tanner Tessmann, David Okereke, Dennis Johnsen.

Injured: Luca Fiordilino, Michael Svoboda

Suspended: None

Atalanta 3-0 Venezia
