Leeds United

Leeds United’s poor start to the season continued over the weekend as they were held to a goalless draw with Brighton, leaving them hovering just above the relegation zone after 13 games.

The Lilly Whites are sitting in 17th place, three points ahead of Burnley who occupy the last relegation spot. They are in danger of dropping back to the Championship in their second season at the top flight unless they can quickly improve on their performances.

Marcelo Bielsa’s side have taken just one win from their last six PL games, making them one of the most out of form teams in that period.

They welcome Crystal Palace to Elland Road in desperate need of a win to boost their chances of survival in the league this season.

Possible Leeds united starting line-ups

Illian Meslier, Junior Firpo, Diego Llorente, Kalvin Phillips, Liam Cooper; Adam Forshaw, Stuart Dallas, Rodrigo, James Harrison, Raphinha, Daniel James.

Injured: Robin Koch

Doubtful: Luke Ayling, Patrick Bamford

Suspended: None

Crystal Palace

Crystal Palace tasted their first defeat in eight games when they lost 2-1 to Aston Villa on Saturday. Goals from Matt Targett and John McGinn handed Steven Gerrard‘s men the win despite a late fightback from Palace who scored through Marc Guehi in the 90th minute.

The result and a win for Leicester in their game against Watford pushed Patrick Vieira’s side out of the top ten places and into 11th place.

With five draws from their last eight games, the visitors have shown that they won’t give up easily. Their 3-0 loss to Liverpool in September was the last time they have failed to score in a game, proving that they can back themselves to find the back of the net against Leeds United on Tuesday.

If they win this game, they can move into the top ten places again and at least guarantee that they would be within touching distance of the top seven.

Possible Crystal Palace starting line-ups

Vicente Guaita; Joel Ward, James Tomkins, Marc Guehi, Tyrick Mitchell; Luka Milivojević, Cheikhou Kouyate, Michael Olise, Conor Gallagher, Wilfried Zaha, Christian Benteke.

Injured: Joachim Andersen, Nathan Ferguson, James McArthur

Doubtful: None
