Tottenham leading the race to sign Inter Milan star Ivan Perisic

Ivan Perisic-Inter Milan

Tottenham Hotspur are leading the race for the signature of Inter Milan player Ivan Perisic this summer.

The Croatian is out of contract at the San Siro side this summer, and the club is desperate to keep him. But they are struggling to reach an agreement with Perisic as reports in Italy claim that he is asking for a three-year deal worth £100,000-a-week.

According to reports, Spurs are vying for his signature alongside Chelsea and Juventus but look to have beaten their rivals to the race.

The Premier League side have reportedly offered Perisic a two-year deal and are now in the pole position to recruit Perisic should he decide to move.

Part of the attraction for Perisic in north London is current Spurs boss Antonio Conte with whom he spent time together at Inter Milan. The Italian manager is keen on reuniting with Perisic. The pair won Serie A together last season at the San Siro, a year after the Croatian lifted the Champions League title on loan at Bayern Munich.

The Croatian has 113 caps for his country and scored in the 2018 World Cup final. He joined Inter in 2015 from Wolfsburg.
