Inter Milan

Inter Milan will look to make it two wins in two league games when they welcome Spezia to San Siro this Saturday.

The hosts began their quest to regain the Scudetto with a victory last weekend, as substitute Denzel Dumfries turned in a stoppage-time winner after Romelu Lukaku had scored after just two minutes of his return to the club.

The Nerazzurri who finished as runners-up last season, missing out by just two points have strengthened their squad this year despite financial restrictions. The Milan side have been active during the summer transfer window bringing in the likes of Kristjan Asllani, Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Andre Onana, and Romelu Lukaku.

With Juventus still finding their feet after some turbulent seasons and with Napoli undergoing a squad turnover, Simone Inzaghi’s side can pull ahead of the rest if they can string together a couple of wins at this early stage of the season to push them ahead in the title race.

Ahead of this game they will be encouraged by the fact that they have won their last three Serie A home season openers, each time scoring four goals. They have also averaged three goals per game across their last four home league encounters here, and so can be backed to produce a high-scoring encounter.

Possible Inter Milan starting line-up

Samir Handanovic, Milan Skriniar, Stefan de Vrij, Alessandro Bastoni, Denzel Dumfries, Nicolo Barella, Kristjan Asllani, Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Robin Gosens, Romelu Lukaku, Lautaro Martinez

Injured: Dalbert

Doubtful: Danilo D’Ambrosio

Suspended: None

Spezia

Spezia will be looking to record back-to-back wins in the league for the first time since January when they travel to the San Siro this Saturday.

The visitors opened their league account with a 1-0 win over Empoli in Match-Day one. It was the first time the Ligurians had won their top-flight opening game and the win will have inspired some confidence that they can win their first ever game against Inter in their second league game.

Having already crushed Como 5-1 in the first round of the Coppa Italia earlier this month, Luca Gotti’s side can be backed to cause a major upset in this game.

Possible away team starting line-up

Bartlomiej Dragowski, Mattia Caldara, Jakub Kiwior, Dimitrios Nikolaou, Emmanuel Gyasi, Kevin Agudelo, Mikael Egill Ellertsson, Mehdi Bourabia, Arkadiusz Reca, Daniele Verde, M’Bala Nzola

Injured: Salva Ferrer, Janis Antiste

Doubtful: Kelvin Amian

Suspended: None
