Juventus picked up a 1-0 win over rivals Torino in the Italian league earlier tonight and Manuel Locatelli scored the only goal of the game in the 86th minute.

Here at Anytime football, we look at the three major talking points from tonight’s contest.

Manuel Locatelli’s dream start continues

The Italian international completed a move from Sassuolo to Juventus during the summer transfer window and he has managed to hit the ground running for the Turin giants.

The 23-year-old midfielder scored the winning goal of the game against Sampdoria towards the end of last month and he has done it again.

Locatelli has been exceptional in his last few matches and he put on a splendid performance against Chelsea during the midweek as well.

Juventus are well and truly back

The Italian giants failed to win their first three league games but they have bounced back from their abysmal start to the Serie A season.

Max Allegri’s men are now on a four-match winning run across all competitions and they are undefeated in their last six.

Juventus are currently eighth in the league table but there is no doubt that they will be able to close in on the likes of Napoli, Inter Milan and AC Milan if they can build on their recent run of form.

Federico Chiesa makes the difference in the end

The 23-year-old Italian international has been in exceptional form over the past year and he was once again the difference maker as he managed to set up Manuel Locatelli’s match-winning goal four minutes from time.

Chiesa has firmly established himself as a key player for Juventus and he will be crucial to their title-winning ambitions this season.

It will be interesting to see if Juventus can hold on to him for the long term if he continues to perform like this. The player has been linked with English clubs recently.
