RB Leipzig

Following a disappointing 2-1 loss to Union Berlin in the Bundesliga last weekend, RB Leipzig turn their attention to the Champions League where they are hoping to pick up a positive result and book their place in the Europa League.

The German who lost their coach Jesse Marsch following the loss to Union Berlin – their second loss on the bounce in the league – come into this tie sitting in third place in Group A, level on points with Club Brugge but with a superior goal difference.

With a place in the UCL next round already out of question, the hosts are now looking to seal a place in the next round of the Europa League.

A win will guarantee them their place in the next round, while a draw or even a loss can still see them progress to the next round if PSG beat Club Brugge in the other Group A fixture.

Meanwhile, despite their lowly position, the ‘Red Bull’ side have one of the most potent attacks in the UCL this season. They have failed to score just once in their last 19 competitive games in all competitions.

In the UCL, only Bayern Munich (19), Manchester City (17), Ajax (16), Liverpool (15) have scored more than the 13 goals Leipzig have in the tournament this season.

Possible RB Leipzig starting line-ups

Manchester City

After a 3-1 win over Watford at the weekend, Manchester City will travel to Germany looking to continue their imperious run in the UCL.

The Premier League side defeated Watford on Saturday to extend their winning run to seven games in all competitions. The win also secured them the top of the PL table and ensured that they come into this tie full of confidence.

Pep Guardiola’s men have also been good in the UCL this season and are topping their group after winning four of their opening five games and scoring 17 goals.

They will fancy their chances of extending their winning run further against the German side who will be playing without their manager.

Possible Man City starting line-ups

Ederson; Kyle Walker, John Stones, Ruben Dias, Jaoa Cancelo; Rodri, Ilkay Gundogan, Kevin De Bruyne, Phil Foden, Bernado Silva, Raheem Sterling
