PSG have received a timely boost as Thomas Tuchel says that Kylian Mbappe would most likely feature in the Champions League clash against Atalanta.

Les Parisiens will take on the Serie A underdogs Atalanta in the quarter-finals of UCL and Mbappe had been touted as a doubter following the horrible injury he picked up in the Coupe de Final.

Tuchel, who earlier stated that the odds are less for Mbappe to play against Atalanta, has now offered an optimistic update.

“If he has a good training session today and nothing extraordinary happens, he will be with the team tomorrow.”

“We are very happy that he is with the group and that we can have the possibility of finishing the match with him.”

However, it remains to be seen whether the 21-year-old can make it up to the starting 11 against Atalanta.

The French World Cup has had a brilliant season in Ligue 1, eventually winning the league’s top scorer award. The trio of Mbappe, Neymar and Mauro Icardi, is amongst the best-attacking units in Europe.

Having won as many as three domestic titles this season, Tuchel’s men will try to have a crack at the long-evading UCL glory.

If Mbappe doesn’t get the call up to the starting 11, PSG will likely start with Icardi and Pablo Sarabia up in the front.

The quarter-finals between Les Parisiens and Atalanta will take place in a neutral venue Estadio da Luz, the home ground of Benfica.
