Wolves crashed out of the Europa League after a 0-1 defeat against Sevilla earlier today.

The Premier League side will be thoroughly disappointed with their performance against the Spanish Giants.

Wolves had the chance to scored twice in the first half but they failed to convert. Raul Jimenez’s header from Adama Traore’s cross was saved early on and then the Mexican failed to convert from the penalty spot after Traore had won the spot kick with a fantastic solo run.

Sevilla managed to score the winner late on in the game when Lucas Ocampos’s header found the net on the 88thminute. Ocampos converted from a fantastic cross put on a plate by Ever Banega.

Nuno will be wondering what could have been if Jimenez had converted the penalty in the first half.

Wolves will not be playing European football next season after finishing 7th in the Premier League.

Meanwhile Sevilla will take on Manchester United in the semi finals of the Europa League in the coming weeks and it will be interesting to see how they perform against the Red Devils.

Sevilla will be one of the favourites to win the Europa League after their win over Wolves. they have significant experience of winning the competition having won it three times in the last six years.

Manchester United will have to work hard to get past Sevilla in the next round of the competition. The Spanish side are in great form right now and they will be full of confidence heading into the game after having beaten a strong Premier League side in Wolves.
