Western United

Western United will welcome Adelaide to the AAMI Park this Friday looking to pick up all three points in this tie.

The hosts bounced back from their disappointing 1-0 loss to Wellington Phoenix last week to defeat Brisbane Roar 1-0 last weekend.

The win was their third league win of the season and placed them third on the table, one point behind Macarthur FC in first. They can move up to the top of the table if they win this game.

Having conceded one goal in the league this season, John Aloisi’s men will fancy their chances of producing another defensive masterclass in this game.

Possible Western United starting line-ups

Jamie Young; Joshua Risdon, Tomoki Imai, Leo Lacroix, Benjamin Garuccio, Steven Lustica, Neil Kilkenny, Lachlan Wales, Alessandro Diamanti, Dylan Wenzel-Halls, Connor Pain.

Adelaide United

Adelaide United’s wait for a league win continued last weekend as they were defeated 2-1 at home by Melbourne Victory

The Reds were undone by goals from Francesco Margiotta and Nishan Velupillay in the game. The loss was their first loss for the season and pushed Adelaide to 10th on the league table.

Adrian Stenta’s side will look to get their first win in this game but face an uphill task of breaking a stubborn host’s defence. However, with all but one of their last 14 games seeing them score a goal, they will fancy their chances of getting at least one goal against Western United on Friday.

Possible Adelaide starting line-ups

James Delianov; Javi Lopez, Jacob Tratt, Michael Jakobsen, Joshua Cavallo; Stefan Mauk, Sanchez Cortes’ Loius D’Arrigo, Ryan Kitto, Ben Halloran, Kusin Yengi.
