Mumbai 1-1 Jamshedpur: Ten-men Jamshedpur FC toil to a draw against Mumbai City FC

Mumbai City FC were held to a 1-1 draw against Jamshedpur FC in the Indian Super League earlier today.

Jamshedpur FC took the lead nine minutes into the game through Nerijus Valskis. However the League leaders Mumbai FC got back into the game six minutes later when Bartholomew Ogbeche scored.

Jamshedpur FC were doing well to match up to the quality of Mumbai city, FC but a red card to Aitor Monroy on the 28th minute reduced them to ten men and Mumbai City took control of the game after that.

Mumbai City FC had quite a few chances to win the game but they failed to convert and they will be disappointed to have dropped two points here.

They are undoubtedly the best team in the League so far and they would have been expected to pick up all three points today.

It will be interesting to see if Mumbai can bounce back with a win in their next game.

Meanwhile, Owen Coyle will demand a reaction from his team and the players are likely to receive a hairdryer treatment after going down to ten men in an important game.

The draw tonight leaves Mumbai City on top of the Indian Super League standings with 13 points and Jamshedpur are now 6th with just seven points. 

It remains to be seen if they can step up and turn their form around in the coming weeks now.
