Jamshedpur FC picked up a 1-0 win over NorthEast United in the Indian Super League earlier tonight.
Aniket Jadhav scored the only goal of the game for Jamshedpur FC in the 53rd minute and NorthEast United have now crashed to their first defeat of the season.
The win tonight leaves Jamshedpur FC 5th in the table with 10 points from seven matches and NorthEast United have the same number of points but they are ahead on goal difference.
Jamshedpur will be delighted to have secured a vital win here and there will be hoping to build on this and put together a winning run in the coming weeks. They were well organised at the back tonight and they managed to grind out the result despite not being clinical upfront.
Meanwhile, NorthEast United will be thoroughly disappointed with the way their unbeaten run has ended and they will be looking to bounce back strongly in the next game.
Both teams will be hoping to win the competition this year and they will have to improve a lot in order to do so.
NorthEast United had the chances to score themselves but the likes of Kwesi Appiah failed to convert from close range twice in the first half.
Both teams need to work on their finishing and it will be interesting to see if the players can step up and deliver in the coming weeks now.
