Fijian striker Roy Krishna is all set to stay with ATK-Mohun Bagan next season.

The 32-year-old had splendid season with the ISL giants last year and there were speculations linking him with a move away this summer. He was linked with moves to Mumbai City FC and East Bengal.

However, recent reports state that the player will continue with ATK-Mohun Bagan. The fans will certainly be delighted with the update. Krishna’s blistering form has forced the ISL outfit to loosen their purse-strings and offer him a good deal.

Krishna has established a solid fan following in Kolkata already and his departure would have been a blow for the side.

The Fijian helped ATK-Mohun Bagan seal a play-off berth last season with consistent performances throughout the season. He arrived in Kolkata with a lot of expectations.

Krishna had bagged 19 goals in 27 games in the A-League with Wellington Phoenix before joining ISL and his first season with ATK-Mohun Bagan was very impressive as well.

The 32-year-old ended the season with 15 goals and 6 assists in just 21 games. The forward could have added to his tally if not for the minor injury issues.

It will be interesting to see if he can guide his club to glory next season. He is well-settled in the ISL now and the fans will be expecting him to improve on his tally from his debut season.
