Angel Di Maria arrived from Real Madrid in 2014 and stayed for a season. He was one of the earliest recruits of Louis van Gaal for Manchester United. He signed for £59.7 million fees, which set a new record for signing by an English club, and took the club’s summer spending to a reported £130 million.
