Borussia Dortmund to sign ‘United target’ Jude Bellingham

Borussia Dortmund to sign 'United target' Jude Bellingham

Manchester United are all set to miss out on the Birmingham City midfielder Jude Bellingham this summer.

As per Sky Sports, the player is heading to Borussia Dortmund for a fee of around £21m.

Bellingham is one of England’s top prospects and he has heavily linked with a move to Manchester United. But the German outfit have now beaten the Red Devils to his signature.

Dortmund have a great track record of developing young players and it seems that has worked in their favour here.

They did a great job developing Jadon Sancho into a star and Bellingham will be hoping to follow in the former City winger’s footsteps now.

At Manchester United, he wouldn’t have got regular first team chances ahead of Pogba or Fernandes and the move to Dortmund seems ideal for him.

He needs to play often at this stage of his career and the German side could provide him with that platform.

The Red Devils were not the only ones after the midfielder. Europe’s top teams, including Chelsea, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich have also missed out on the signing.

Bellingham is expected to sign a five year deal with Borussia Dortmund this summer. It will be interesting to see how he adapts to German football next season.

He has the talent to succeed in Germany and with a bit of coaching, he should be able to make an impact in the Bundesliga next year.
