Inter Milan are looking to sell their wing-back, Hakimi, this summer.
Paris-Saint Germain have reportedly reached an agreement in principle for the signing of Inter Milan wing-back Achraf Hakimi.
However, the report adds that PSG must convince the Italians with a lucrative offer as they are open to selling the Moroccan international to lessen their financial straits.
Despite lifting the Serie A title, Inter are said to be struggling financially, and they must sell few players to generate funds. In the aftermath of the financial slump, manager Antonio Conte, who won the Scudetto this season, left the Nerazzurri, and now they have reached a deal with Lazio’s Simone Inzaghi.
Following Conte, several high profile stars are expected to leave Inter, which includes Hakimi.
PSG are seemingly leading the race for the signing of the former Real Madrid alongside Bayern Munich and Chelsea.
Bayern are looking to strengthen their defence after last summer’s acquisition Bouna Sarr failed to impress at the right-back position.
Earlier, Bayern’s former president Uli Hoeness claimed that the club wouldn’t spend big in the transfer window, and hence it remains to be seen whether they can meet the valuation of £60m, set by Inter for Hakimi.
Premier League giants Chelsea are also keeping tabs on the former Borussia Dortmund star as they are in the market for defensive reinforcements.
Hakimi has been cited as the long-term successor to Cesar Azpilicueta, who was an absolute starter under Thomas Tuchel this season.
Tuchel is likely to be backed by the Blues board for new signings in the forthcoming transfer window. It remains to be seen whether they can beat the likes of Bayern and PSG for the signing of Hakimi, who was pivotal behind Inter winning the Scudetto.
