The Gunners will have to sort out several contract situations involving some of their young talents and first team players.

Reiss Nelson

The highly talented youngster has two years left on his contract and it will be interesting to see the Gunners decide to tie him down to a long term deal.

Reiss Nelson needs to play more often at this stage of his career and it would be ideal if Arsenal agreed on a long term contract with the player and then sent him out on loan next season.

Granit Xhaka

Swiss international Granit Xhaka has been linked with a move away from the London club and it will be interesting to see if Arsenal are willing to offer him a new deal.

The 28-year-old will have two years left on his deal at the end of this season and he has had a mixed spell under Arteta so far.

Emile Smith-Rowe

Highly talented midfielder Emile Smith-Rowe has been outstanding for Arsenal this season and it is clear that the Gunners must do everything in their power to tie him down to a long term contract.

The youngster has proven that he is capable of making a difference for the first team and he could be set for a vital role next season.

Hector Bellerin

Hector Bellerin has been linked with a move away from Arsenal at the end of this season.

The Spaniard has fallen down the pecking order since the arrival of Cedric Soares but there is no doubt that he is highly talented and he could still be an important part of the club’s future.

It will be interesting to see if Arsenal can fend off the interest in the Spaniard and keep him at the club beyond this season.

Mohamed Elneny

Meanwhile, Egyptian midfielder Mohamed Elneny wants to extend his stay at the London club and the player’s agent has revealed that talks are underway regarding an agreement.

Apparently, both parties are interested in securing the extension.

The player has been linked with a return to Turkey in recent months but he has managed to impress in his 31 appearances across all competitions this season and the Gunners should look to hold on to him as an important squad player.

Bernd Leno

The German has developed into a key player for Arsenal and he is a valued member of Arteta’s squad. The Spanish manager chose to sell Emiliano Martinez at the start of the season so that Leno can remain the first choice keeper at Arsenal.

The Gunners should look to secure his long term future soon. Bernd Leno is only 29 and he could be a key player for Arsenal over the next few years.
