Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski is reportedly looking for a new challenge and he could be on the move soon.

According to reports, the Bundesliga champions value the striker at around £100 million and it remains to be seen whether his suitors are prepared to pay that kind of money for him at this stage of his career.

There is no doubt that Lewandowski is a world class player and he is probably the best striker on the planet right now however he will soon be 33 and he is in the twilight years of his career.

The Polish international has won every trophy at the club level with Bayern Munich and it is understandable why he is looking for a fresh challenge.

He could prove to be a quality short term addition for any club around Europe but the asking price could drive his suitors away.

There have been rumours of a contract renewal with Bayern Munich as well and it could be possible that his agent is feeding stories regarding his transfer desire in order to speed up the negotiations or force the German club into giving him the contract he wants.

It will be interesting to see how the situation unfolds over the next few weeks.

It is highly unlikely that Bayern Munich will sanction his departure at this stage of the window and his suitors will probably have to wait until next summer to secure his services.
