Brazilian superstar Neymar is looking for a move away from PSG this summer.
Apparently, the attacker wants a return to Barcelona.
The French outfit have asked their players to take a considerable pay cut in order to battle the current financial crisis because of Coronavirus pandemic.
However, some of the players are not keen on the idea. Neymar, Thiago Silva, Edinson Cavani and Ander Herrera do not want to take a pay cut.
Neymar earns around £500,000-per-week after tax.
It will be interesting to see if their decision forces PSG to cash in on them.
Neymar played some of his best football at Barcelona and he has been linked with a return ever since he moved to PSG.
He had a telepathic understanding with Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez. The trio helped Barcelona win the Champions League as well as the Spanish League during their time together at the club.
It remains to be seen if the Brazilian finally gets his wish this summer.
That said, Neymar will cost a lot and Barcelona might have to sell some of their players to afford him.
The PSG star is forcing a move away from the club if reports are to be believed. That will certainly weaken PSG’s position during negotiations.
Neymar appears desperate and Barcelona will certainly fancy their chances of landing him if the relationship between the player and PSG continues to worsen.
Meanwhile, Barcelona have been linked with a move for Inter Milan’s Lautaro Martinez as well.
If they make a move for Neymar, there is no way they can afford Martinez this summer.
It seems that Neymar’s Barcelona return could end Martinez’ chances of playing at Camp Nou next season.
