Arsenal make an enquiry for Manchester United midfielder Donny van de Beek

Donny van de Beek-Manchester United

Arsenal are reportedly interested in signing the Manchester United midfielder, Donny van de Beek.

According to reports, the Gunners have asked Manchester United to keep them updated about the Dutch international’s situation at the club.

The former Ajax midfielder has had a nightmare spell at United so far, and he has struggled to hold down a regular starting berth under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

The midfielder has made just four Premier League starts this campaign, and he was recently withdrawn from the Netherlands Euro 2020 squad with an injury.

It will be interesting to see how the Dutchman bounces back from a miserable campaign like this next year.

Van de Beek was highly rated before his move to Manchester United, and there is no doubt that he has the talent to succeed at the highest level. He has proven his quality in the Champions League with Ajax.

It will be interesting to see if he can get regular opportunities at Old Trafford next year.

Alternatively, a move to Arsenal would be ideal for him as well. The Gunners are crying out for a creative midfielder like him.

Martin Odegaard made quite an impression in that role last season, but the Norwegian has returned to Real Madrid upon the expiry of his loan deal.

Van de Beek could be the Norwegian’s alternative next season, and it will be interesting to see how his situation unfolds over the next few weeks.

He would add goals, creativity and vision in the final third for the Gunners. The likes of Aubameyang and Pepe could benefit from having someone like him playing behind them.
