Arsenal to part ways with their head of football Raul Sanllehi

Arsenal Players to accept conditional Pay-cut

Arsenal have decided to part ways with their head of football Raul Sanllehi this summer.

His transfer dealings were questionable last summer and the Gunners failed to get proper value out of their big money signings.

Sanllehi was backed with funds in the market but he failed to deliver. The signings of Pepe, Luiz, Suarez and Cedric cost the club good money in terms of fees and wages but the players did not live up to the expectations.

It will be interesting to see how Edu performs in that role now. He will be in charge of transfers this summer and the Arsenal chief has already signed Willian on a free transfer.

It seems that Arsenal are reshaping the structure of the club from top to bottom so that they can have sustained success.

Arteta’s arrival signaled a long-term approach from the Gunners and it will be interesting to see if they can take the next forward step of their plan next season.

Arsenal managed to win the FA Cup this past season and they will be aiming higher now. They are clearly not ready to win the title but they are good enough to get back into the top four with a few additions.

They should be looking to win the domestic cup competitions once again.

Keeping players like Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang will be key to their development as a team next year. Edu must look to secure the striker’s future as a priority move now.
