Chelsea have been linked with a move for the VfB Stuttgart left-back Borna Sosa.

The Blues have been linked with the likes of Layvin Kurzawa and Emerson Palmieri in recent weeks as well.

It is no surprise that the Stamford Bridge outfit are looking to bring in a left-back before the January transfer window closes.

The likes of Ben Chilwell are currently sidelined with injuries, and Thomas Tuchel has had to depend on Marcos Alonso as his only left-back.

While the Spaniard has done an impressive job going forward, he has been a liability at the back, and Chelsea will need to bring in someone who is a more balanced defender.

Sosa has done an impressive job with Stuttgart, and he has the potential to succeed in the Premier League.

Apparently, the German club value the player at 30 million Euros. It will be interesting to see if the Blues can secure an agreement with Stuttgart before the January transfer window closes.

Inter Milan are thought to be keen on signing the left-back as well, and the Blues will have to move quickly to fend off the competition from the European giants.

Chelsea certainly have a more ambitious and attractive project at their disposal as compared to Inter Milan. The chance to work with a Champions League-winning manager like Thomas Tuchel could be an attractive proposition for salsa.

The player is likely to develop further under the German manager’s guidance, and a move to Stamford Bridge would be the ideal next step in his career.

The reported asking price seems quite reasonable for a player of Sosa’s calibre, and he has the potential to justify the outlay in the long run.

Chelsea have the financial muscle to pull off the transfer as well, and it remains to be seen whether Roman Abramovich is prepared to green light remove for the Bundesliga defender this month.
