Fiorentina striker Dusan Vlahovic has been linked with a move away from the Italian club for a while now and he was reportedly a target for the likes of Atletico Madrid and Tottenham Hotspur during the summer transfer window.
The 21-year-old Serbian international scored 21 goals in the Italian league last season and it is no surprise that the top European clubs are interested in securing his services.
The highly talented attacker is rated as one of the most exciting prospects around European football right now and he has the potential to develop into a top-class goal scorer.
According to reports, the player is now in talks with Fiorentina to renew his current deal.
Apparently, the new contract will make him the club’s highest earner and given his performances from last season, he will have thoroughly deserved it.
The new deal will however make it easier for his suitors to snap him up next summer as it would contain a release clause of around €70 million. The Serie A outfit will be powerless to stop him from leaving if someone agrees to pay the release clause.
Vlahovic is a prodigious talent who is yet to reach his peak and there is no doubt that he has the potential to justify the reported release clause in the long run.
The player has been linked with Italian giants Juventus as well and it will be interesting to see if they are willing to pay the asking price for him in the coming months.
