Atletico Madrid defender Kieran Trippier is looking to return to the Premier League this summer.

Manchester United have been linked with a move for the 30-year-old England international, and the player is now desperate to return to English football.

The right-back was a key member of Diego Simeone‘s squad that won the Spanish league last season, and Atletico Madrid are demanding a fee of around £30 million for him.

It is believed that the asking price has scared off potential suitors, and the player is now waiting to find out whether Manchester United will reignite their interest in signing him.

The Red Devils could use a quality backup option to AaronWan-Bissaka, and Trippier would be a quality addition.

Wan-Bissaka has done reasonably well since his move from Crystal Palace, but the young defender needs more competition, and Trippier could push him for a starting berth next season.

It is understandable why Manchester United are unwilling to meet the £30 million asking price for a player who is in the final year of his contract and is in his 30s.

It will be interesting to see if Atletico Madrid are willing to lower the asking price in the coming weeks.

Trippier has played in the Premier League before with Tottenham Hotspur, and he should be able to settle in quickly and make an immediate impact at Old Trafford if he joins Manchester United this summer.
