Liverpool keen on Federico Chiesa, Chelsea could join the race as well

Federico Chiesa-Juventus

Juventus winger Federico Chiesa has been linked with a move to Liverpool at the end of this season.

The Italian international has been outstanding for club and country over the past year and it is no surprise that the Premier League clubs are hovering around him.

According to reports, Chelsea submitted an offer of around £85 million for the winger during the summer transfer window but they were unsuccessful in their attempt to bring him to the Premier League.

According to Calciomercato via Liverpool Echo, Chelsea and Liverpool are expected to approach Juventus for the talented young winger again.

Chiesa is currently on a two-year loan at Juventus and Italian giants have an obligation to sign him permanently for a fee of around £34.3 million at the end of this season.

It will be interesting to see if the two Premier League clubs can convince Juventus to sign the player permanently and sell him for a massive profit immediately.

The Italian international has the potential to develop into a world-class footballer and he would be a stunning addition to Liverpool’s attack.

The Reds need to freshen up their front three especially with the likes of Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane struggling to hit their peak form over the past year.

Chiesa showed his quality during the European Championships with Italy earlier on in the summer and there is no doubt that he has the potential to succeed in the Premier League.
