Man United 13 Palace Former player Wilfried Zaha returns with a brace to haunt United

Manchester United crashed to a 3-1 defeat at home to Crystal Palace in the Premier League at Old Trafford today.

The Eagles took the lead through Andros Townsend on the 7th minute and then Wilfried Zaha bagged a brace against his former side.

New summer signing Donny van de Beek came as substitute in place of Paul Pogba, and got Manchester United back into the game with a goal on the 81st minute but the Old Trafford outfit failed to get anything out of the game eventually.

They were quite impressive throughout the game and they have deservedly picked up all three points in the end.

Manchester United will be thoroughly disappointed with their performance today and it will be interesting to see if they decide to dip into the transfer market to improve their squad now.

Today Scott McTominay started ahead of Nemanja Matic and Fred. Mason Greenwood started on bench, instead Daniel James started at right flank.

There is no doubt that the Red Devils need to improve defensively if they want to finish in the top four once again. United  looked vulnerable at the back today and the Crystal Palace wingers managed to cut through them with ease. Man United fans would not be too happy with Victor Lindelöf.

Manchester United were expected to challenge for the Premier League title this season but the start against Palace will certainly frustrate the fans.

It will be interesting to see if the Red Devils can bounce back right away in their next game with a positive result now.

United have been linked with the likes of Sancho and Telles in the recent weeks.
