United planning for Haaland-Van de Beek swap deal

Manchester United are reportedly interested in a swap deal for Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Haaland involving outcast Donny van de Beek.

The Dutch midfielder has struggled for game time this season under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and the Red Devils are open to using him as a makeweight.

It was also reported earlier that Van de Beek could seek an exit from Old Trafford at the end of this season.

Haaland continues to be a top target for Man Utd however he has recently played down his exit links, stating that he wants to continue in Bundesliga.

Solskjaer issued sack warning after Leicester defeat

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has found himself at the receiving end after seeing his side crash out of the FA Cup with a heavy defeat against Leicester City in the quarter-finals.

And now the Norwegian’s chances of lifting a silverware this season are dwindling as the Europa League remains the last resort.

Former English international Danny Murphy believes that the Red Devils boss could be sacked if he ends up trophyless this season.

“They can’t be blaming tiredness for a loss at Leicester in the FA Cup and their squad not being strong enough.”

He’s in a position for me where the Europa League, for me, has become monumental for him and the club.”

“I like him and I’m not one who wants to see managers sacked and I do think they’ve made some strides forward, but Manchester United have to be doing better.”

“If they don’t win the Europa League and only finish in the top four then I think they’ll make a change.”
