Three replacements lined up for Solskjaer

Manchester United owner Joel Glazer has apparently drawn up a three-man shortlist to replace Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

The Manchester United manager is currently under pressure after a Champions League defeat to Young Boys and the Old Trafford hierarchy are already looking at alternatives should the Norwegian fail to live up to the expectations this season.

The three candidates being looked at are Antonio Conte, Zinedine Zidane and Brendan Rodgers.

Conte and Zidane are currently out of a job but they are proven winners and it is hardly surprising that the Red Devils are keen on them.

Meanwhile, Rodgers has done an excellent job at Leicester City so far and he helped them win the FA Cup last season.

Solskjaer was backed heavily during the transfer window and Manchester United signed top class players like Jadon Sancho, Raphael Varane and Cristiano Ronaldo.

The Premier League giants will be expected to challenge for the league title and compete in the Champions League this season.

So far they have made an impressive start to the Premier League campaign and it remains to be seen whether they can get their European performances in order now.
