Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah has now sent out a statement regarding his future at the club.

The 29 year old Egyptian international has revealed that he wants to sign a new contract with the Premier League club, but Liverpool have not offered him an acceptable proposal.

The winger will be out of contract in the summer of 2023, and it will be interesting to see whether the Reds are willing to step up their efforts and tie him down to a new long term contract soon.

The Premier League star has scored 23 goals across all competitions this season, and he is undoubtedly the best player at the club.

Liverpool will need players like him in order to win major trophies like the Premier League and the Champions League, and Jurgen Klopp cannot afford to lose the Egyptian anytime soon.

The 29-year-old has been crucial to Liverpool’s resurgence under the German manager, and he has already helped them win the Premier League title and the Champions League title.

Salah is in great form right now, and he is arguably the best player in the world on current form. It will be interesting to see how Liverpool react to his strong statements regarding his future and whether they are prepared to give in to his demands.

Apparently, Salah is not demanding a significant pay rise, and it remains to be seen how the situation develops over the next few weeks.

“I want to stay, but it’s not in my hands. It’s in their hands. I’m not asking for crazy stuff,” Salah told GQ.

“The thing is, when you ask for something, and they show you they can give you something, [they should] because they appreciate what you did for the club.

“I’ve been here for my fifth year now. I know the club very well. I love the fans. The fans love me. But with the administration, they have [been] told the situation. It’s in their hands.”
