Liverpool are expected to offer Egyptian international Mohamed Salah a new contract at the club.

The Reds have agreed on new deals with several key players over the past few weeks and tying down Salah to a long term contract is a priority for the Premier League club.

According to the latest reports, the 28-year-old winger is demanding around £500,000 per week to sign a new contract with the Reds.

Salah is undoubtedly one of the best players in the world and he has been unplayable for Liverpool ever since he joined them from Roma.

The Egyptian has broken several records with Liverpool one after another and he certainly deserves to be the club’s highest earner.

It will be interesting to see if Liverpool are prepared to give in to his demands and hand him a bumper pay rise in the coming weeks.

The Reds have done well to keep the spine of the squad intact by offering new deals to the likes of Virgil van Dijk, Alisson, Fabinho, Trent Alexander Arnold, Andy Robertson in recent weeks and the renewal of Salah would ensure that Liverpool will hold on to their key players through their prime years.

If Liverpool decide to grant the player’s wishes, it would make him one of the highest earners in the Premier League and certainly the highest earner in the club’s history.

The player is thought to be angling for a new deal right now and it will be interesting to see if the two parties can secure an agreement in the coming days.
