Mason Greenwood and Aaron Wan-Bissaka of Manchester United celebrate against Wolves in Premier League

Norwich City will host Manchester United this Saturday for a 16th round game of the 2021/22 Premier League season.

Venue: Carrow Road

Key Statistics

Norwich have failed to score in nine Premier League games this season.

They have scored only eight goals in the league (the least goals scored) and have conceded 31 times more than any other side.

The Canaries have lost nine games already this season – only Watford have lost more.

Manchester United have scored in all of their last 16 games away from home in all competitions (including friendlies).

They have conceded 24 goals this season, which is the most for teams currently in the top ten after 16 games.

The visitors have scored 11 and conceded 11 goals this season away from home. They also have taken 11 points away from home this season.

Head to head

Norwich

Struggling Norwich City will welcome Manchester United to Carrow Road this Saturday in what we expect to be an exciting Premier League.

The Canaries have improved under the leadership of new manager Dean Smith but are still facing the difficult task of staying up in the Premier League after losing a league-high nine of their opening 15 games in the league.

The hosts lost for the first time game under Smith last weekend when they were beaten by 3-0 Tottenham. Prior to that loss, they had won two and drawn two in their last four games.

But with their latest result, they were pushed back to the bottom of the table on goal difference. The result also means that the Carrow Road side have accumulated one point less than what they had at this stage in their ill-fated 2019/20 relegation campaign. They have a real fight in their hands to stay up and will be desperate to win this game in order to maintain momentum.

Possible Norwich starting line-ups

Tim Krul; Brandon Williams, Ben Gibson, Grant Hanley, Andrew Omobamidele, Max Aarons; Lees Melou, Billy Gilmour, Kenny McLean; Teemu Pukki, Adam Idah.

Injured: Milot Rashica, Zimmermann, Christoph Zimmermann

Doubtful: Mathias Normann

Suspended: None

Manchester United

Manchester United will look to continue their quick renaissance under Ralf Rangnick when they travel to Carrow Road this Saturday for their 16th PL game of the season.

The Red Devils’ last outing in the league saw them defeat Crystal Palace 1-0 before they played out a 1-1 draw with Young Boys in the Champions League in midweek.

The result made it three wins in the last five games for the Old Trafford side and also extended their unbeaten run to five games. While their win against Palace pushed them up the table into the top six, just three points behind West Ham in fourth.

With two wins in three games under Rangnick (W2, D1), the Red Devils look like a solid outfit once again. They will look to continue their upward trajectory and keep themselves within touching distance at the top with the season almost in its halfway stage.

They will fancy their chances of winning this game and extend their unbeaten run to six games in all competitions.

Possible Manchester United starting line-ups

David de Gea, Diogo Dalot, Harry Maguire, Victor Lindelof, Alex Telles; Fred Scott McTominay, Bruno Fernandes, Jadon Sancho, Marcus Rashford; Cristiano Ronaldo.

Injured: Edinson Cavani, Paul Pogba

Doubtful: Raphael Varane, Anthony Martial

Prediction

Norwich 0-3 Man United
