The German forward has endured a difficult debut season at Chelsea
Timo Werner‘s agent has hinted about a possible reunion with Julian Nagelsmann at Bayern Munich while addressing the German forward’s Chelsea future.
Werner completed his move to Stamford Bridge last summer and has since struggled to adapt to life in the Premier League. His inconsistency has also put him under scrutiny as he failed to replicate the blistering form he enjoyed at RB Leipzig.
Perhaps, the 25-year-old came under the spotlight after his tremendous goal-scoring form at Leipzig and the credit goes to manager Julian Nagelsmann, who managed to get the best out of Werner.
Now with Nagelsmann set to take over at Bayern, Werner’s agent Karlheinz Forster has refused to rule out the possibility of a reunion at Allianz Arena in future.
Forster said: “Julian let Timo play in a different position at Leipzig. A bit like Thomas Muller at Bayern. Julian and Timo appreciate each other.
“Of course, I don’t yet know what will happen in three or four years. Football is fast moving.”
Forster also insisted that Werner is determined to succeed with the Blues for the time being.
“You can’t rule out anything, but if I had to assess it at the moment, then I would say very clearly that Timo will stay at Chelsea.”
Thomas Tuchel had earlier stated that Werner has become frustrated with the rough patch he is going through but he is working hard to live up to his full potential.
Werner is currently away with the German national team in Euro 2020, where he is getting minutes as a substitute.
