Former Manchester United and Arsenal striker Robin van Persie has stated that Erik ten Hag is one of the best coaches in the game.
The ex-Dutch international worked up close and personal with Ten Hag as he returned to United’s training ground this week and was left impressed by the Man United manager’s methods.
After a successful trip to the Red Devils training base at Carrington, Van Persie took to Instagram to thank the coach and club for the experience.
“Thanks for the warm welcome [Manchester United] and Erik ten Hag,” the former striker wrote.
“Great time back at Carrington for a trip down memory lane and to learn the ropes from one of the best coaches in modern football.”
Van Persie is currently studying for his coaching badges and teamed up with the United staff after Ten Hag invited him. The Dutchman spent three successful years at Old Trafford, winning the Premier League title in his first season at the club.
