Milan are closing in on the transfers of Pietro Pellegri and Tiemoue Bakayoko.

AC Milan are reportedly closing in on the transfers of Pietro Pellegri and Tiemoue Bakayoko.

Having signed Alessandro Florenzi recently on loan from Roma, Milan are now set to complete the deals for the abovementioned duo next week.

Milan have reached an agreement with Ligue 1 outfit for the loan move of Pellegri. The 20-year-old started his career with his boyhood club Genoa before moving to Monaco in 2018. However, his time in France didn’t go as he would have expected, making only a few appearances.

Now, the young Italian striker is set to join the Rossoneri on a loan move for 1m euros while his buyout clause is reported to be 6m euros.

Milan are also said to be having clear plans for Pellegri as they cite him as a key player for the club’s future. For the time being, he is expected to be the understudy for Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Olivier Giroud. Pellegri will reportedly have his medicals next week.

Bakayoko is also set to move to San Siro on loan again as Chelsea have reportedly sanctioned his departure.

The 27-year-old spent his last season on loan at Napoli and now he is closing in on a return to the Rossoneri, where he had a loan spell during the 18/19 season.

The French star’s addition could strengthen the midfield that is packed already with top quality players like Franck Kessie, Sandro Tonali and Ismael Bennacer.

Stefano Pioli’s men will kick start their Serie A campaign against Sampdoria on Monday.
