Chelsea star Ziyech is reportedly on the transfer wishlist of Milan.

Olivier Giroud, who has recently completed his move from Chelsea to AC Milan, has now urged his former Blues teammate Hakim Ziyech to join him at San Siro.

The French striker praised Ziyech’s qualities while stating his desire to link up with him again in Serie A side.

Giroud said: “Ziyech is a great player. We have had a great connection even though we have played few games together.

“He has a top-left foot, has the experience, and he is very good technically. It would be nice to play with him again.”

Giroud’s comments have spurred the transfer speculations of Ziyech as he is reportedly on the transfer agenda of Milan.

The Rossoneri are understandably in the market for a new attacking midfielder to cope with the departure of Hakan Calhanoglu and have identified Morrocan international as a top target.

Ziyech’s performances were few and far between during his first season at Stamford Bridge following his much-anticipated move from Ajax.

Thomas Tuchel has managed to get the best out of the 28-year-old during the latter stages of the last season. Now, the German manager is expected to count on the playmaker from the very beginning for the upcoming season.

Ziyech, who is currently participating in the Blues’ preseason, has recently commented he is focused on getting back to his best ahead of the new season.

Ziyech said: “I’m feeling great, sharp. I think for everybody, the days off that we’ve had have been good. Right now, we can show our best. We are all hungry and sharp.

“The biggest thing is getting back the rhythm again, getting back to being fit again, to get the minutes in the leg. That’s the most important thing, to get ready for the real work.

“It’s always nice for the confidence, but it’s not the biggest thing in the first place.”

The chances are less for Ziyech to leave Stamford Bridge just after a year and with the Blues expected not to add attacking reinforcements in the summer transfer window, Tuchel would be reluctant to sell the former Ajax star.
