Lautaro Martinez wants to stay at Inter Milan, amid Premier League interest

Lautaro Martinez- Inter Milan

The Inter Milan striker has been linked with an exit this summer.

Inter Milan striker Lautaro Martinez has been linked with an exit this summer, with Arsenal and Tottenham showing interest in signing him.

The Nerazzurri players face an uncertain future at San Siro due to the club’s financial struggles, and Martinez has been tipped to follow Romelu Lukaku – who has joined Chelsea – towards the exit door.

Now, the Argentine’s agent Alejandro Camano has addressed the future at San Siro, stating the client has no desire to leave Inter this summer.

“He wants to win the Scudetto again with Inter, play a good Champions League with the Nerazzurri and, as I said before, he doesn’t think at all about leaving Italy.”

We will do everything possible to stay with the Nerazzurri. Martinez is very happy in Milan, he has an excellent relationship with his team-mates and with the new coach. He listened to many offers, but never took any of them seriously. He believes – and we believe – that there is still life at Inter.”

Martinez has been one of Europe’s best young strikers in recent years and he was instrumental behind Inter winning the Scudetto last season.

The 23-year-old recently played a key role for the Argentina national team to win the Copa America.

Now with Lukaku gone, the responsibility could fall on Martinez to spearhead the attack in the upcoming season.

Arsenal and Spurs might have dealt a blow after Camano’s comments as they were considering a move for the Argentine to strengthen their attack.

Atletico Madrid are believed to be tracking Martinez but now could turn their attention to another Serie A striker, Dusan Vlahovic.
