Qualification scenario
32 teams had been divided into eight groups, with each team playing 6 games in two-legged ties. The winners and runners of each group will book their ticket to the round of 16 while the teams finishing third will enter the Europa League. The 16 teams will be again divided into two groups as seeded(winners) and unseeded (runners-up) in the round of 16 draw.
