Zlatan Ibrahimovic says ‘yes’ to Icardi transfer
AC Milan striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic has opened the doors for Mauro Icardi to join Rossoneri.
The Argentine, who had endured a difficult season at PSG, has been linked with a move to San Siro.
Earlier, it was reported that Icardi had been offered to Rossoneri, who are in the market for striker reinforcements following the departure of Mario Mandzukic.
Icardi, 28, represented Milan’s arch-rivals Inter Milan for around seven years before he moved to the French Capital in 2019.
The former Barcelona academy star scored 7 goals and provided three assists in 20 Ligue 1 appearances this season.
Ibrahimovic on possible Icardi’s transfer to Milan:” The club will decide I will always support the arrival of any player who can help the team, the club will decide.”
Fikayo Tomori deal to be sealed soon
AC Milan are reportedly on the verge of completing Fikayo Tomori’s permanent move from Chelsea, and the fee is rated at £25m.
Tomori joined the Rossoneri earlier this year on loan after he lost his place as a starter at Stamford Bridge.
The 23-year-old featured in 17 Serie A games in the recently concluded campaign and played a significant role in Milan’s Champions League qualification.
Tomori’s performances have now convinced Rossoneri to hand him a brand new five-year deal.
Tomori’s addition will only strengthen Milan’s back-line, which already contains the likes of Simon Kjaer and Alessandro Romagnoli.
Stefano Pioli had earlier stated his desired to keep Tomori for a more extended period.
“We want to buy Tomori on a permanent deal from Chelsea.
Our intention is clear, and also Fikayo’s decision [staying in Milan]. We’ll see what happens at the end of the season.”
