Ukraine will be facing the Three Lions in the quarter-finals of Euro 2020.

Ukraine, the unlikely heroes of Euro 2020, secured their place in the quarter-finals after defeating Sweden in extra-time. Now, they await England in what looks like a possibly tough fixture for them.

However, Ukraine boss Andriy Shevchenko says his side is not intimidated by the Three Lions, who thrashed Germany in the round of 16.

England are a great team, they have a deep bench, an outstanding coaching staff, and we are fully aware how tough this game is going to be, ‘

“I saw all their three group matches, not today’s win over Germany because we had to prepare for our own game with Sweden. They are incredibly difficult to score against, but their strength shouldn’t scare us.

It should motivate us because everything is possible in football as in life, and we will play our hearts out to give our fans, even more to cheer about.”

Zinchenko warns his teammates over the ‘Sterling threat’

Ukrainian star Oleksandr Zinchenko, who scored the opener in the win against Sweden, has warned his teammates over the threat posed by England star and his Manchester City teammate Raheem Sterling.

“Raheem Sterling is one of the best wingers in the world. Right now, he is in amazing form.

“He is great; he makes the difference. We obviously need to pay attention to him, and we will need to try to somehow stop him because he’s on a roll now.”

Sterling has been in red hot form since the Euros began, scoring three goals thus far and was also on target in the game against Germany.

Zinchenko also spoke highly about Gareth Southgate’s side, which he thinks is well-organised.

“It is really difficult to score against England; they are really well organised.”

England have maintained a great run in the European Championship, not conceding a goal thus far.
